Mintimeter in a class

Mentimeter is a powerful collaboration and presentation software that helps to solve the problem of always calling on the same students by getting feedback from the entire class. All you have to do is create questions, then press the button present and your audience is going to use their smart devices to enter the presentation code and submit their answer. With Mentimeter you get unbiased results visualized in a way that encourages reflection and sparks discussion

How to use Mentimeter to teach
Nowadays, most of the student do not want to participate in class and this is because they are not interesting in. The technology has many advantages, but also it has disadvantages because students are bringing their smart device to the classroom and having them, they are tempted to use them. Being aware of these professors should include technology in their classes to keep students interest.

Mentimeter is a free tool available through the web and can be use across all devices. There are many options that professor can use.

The first way to engage and interact with students during your classes is through Multiple-Choice questions. Teachers can pose their questions to the students and include images on it. Using this you can make that your students participate in your daily review that you do after explain a topic.

The second way is using word clouds this help students to think and share their ideas and make a collaborative way of learning.

Third way is using Likert-Type scales this helps student can rate statements and say if they agree or disagree.

Fourth way is Quiz and this is a type of quiz that requires students to input their names. Through this option you can evaluate your students in very interesting way.

Advantages and Disadvantages
It is more fun than simply raising hands, and as noted is anonymous so you can ask more controversial questions. It works in phones and laptops so is very easy.
The main disadvantage is that you need internet to participate on the web side. You should check if you have internet before use it.
